Thread Lift Manchester

At Antonacci Clinic we offers a cutting edge One Stitch Facelift/Thread Lift in Manchester

This unique non-surgical facelift is often referred to as a ‘mini lift’ or a ‘lunchtime lift’ because of how quick & straightforward the procedure is and how exceptionally long-lasting the results are. You can nip out to lunch and return with younger-looking skin the same day!

As we age, our cheek tissue weakens, resulting in volume loss and sagging. Our thread lifts have a skin tightening effect around the facial and neck tissues, allowing you to redefine sagging skin from the first signs of ageing and give you the facial contour you desire.

Silhouette Soft Thread Lifts

The Silhouette Soft Lift is a cutting edge non-surgical thread lift treatment that has very little downtime. This procedure uses special threads designed to lift the skin on the face & neck and restore volume without any cutting. While these thread lifts are sometimes dubbed a ‘one stitch facelift’, this refers more to the simplicity of the procedure than the number of stitches. We usually use two or three stitches on each side of the face to achieve optimal results.  This type of thread lift can suspend sagging facial tissue in many areas, including the forehead, cheeks, jowls, jawline and neck. In practice, I find the stitches to be most useful in the lower face and neck, where other non-surgical techniques usually provide less satisfying results.  We only use superior materials, products and methodologies.

How Do Thread Lifts Work?

The procedure begins by first identifying the problem areas of excess skin and marking out where each suture — or stitch — should be placed.  Once we draw guide marks, local anaesthetic is injected to make the procedure a pain free experience. The thread lifting stitches contain small cones along their length (similar, if you like, to barbed wire) and are inserted using long needles. After the stitches are in place, they are pulled back to re-suspend the skin and soft tissues whilst the small cones along their length anchor the facial tissues in their new — more youthful — position.

Minimally Invasive Skin Lifting Technique

The most notable benefit of this technique is that it is a truly minimally invasive way of lifting the skin. Previous ‘thread lift’ techniques used small incisions behind the hairline and ear to insert the sutures and so have been associated with significant bruising, swelling and ‘down time’ afterwards.   The Silhouette Soft thread lifts, on the other hand, have no cutting or scarring and very minimal downtime. With the temporary numbness from the local anaesthetic, most patients can resume normal activities immediately and go back to work the very next day.

One Stitch Facelift FAQs

What is recovery like after the thread lifting procedure?

Immediately after the thread lifting procedure, you will have a series of needle marks on each side of the face. These will remain visible for the rest of the day, although most people can cover them up with make-up the next day.

You may experience some bruising and swelling around the sutures, although this tends to be relatively minor and short-lived. Up to a week after the thread lifts, it may feel tender around the stitched area. If necessary, you can take some simple paracetamol to help with this, although most patients do not bother with this step.

You will be able to feel the stitches and the anchoring cones beneath your skin, especially when you apply your skincare products or make-up, but you should not be able to see them.

One of the great benefits of the Silhouette Soft thread lifting procedure is that over and above the lifting and restructuring of sagging facial tissue, the treatment promotes natural collagen production too. This continues for about eight months after the procedure and can benefit you, your skin and your facial tissues for up to 2 years afterwards

How long do the results last?

The results of a thread lifting procedure are expected to last around 18 months, at which point you can — if you wish — have the procedure repeated.

What are the limitations of thread lifts?

The treatment is ideal for younger patients with mild to moderate skin excess who wish to contour and refine their face & neck area.

In older patients with extensive skin excess, the threads will not be strong enough to provide a lasting lift, so other treatment options may be more appropriate.
